Me neither, but thanks anyway. As I said in my introduction, I live on the doorstep of both airfields, so would be pleased to help out with information on either. 
I've mentioned the memorial plaque to RNAS Killingholme to the powers that be - we'll see if anything develops. Fingers crossed!

Well that is good to hear....
As you say with the centenary of the start of WW1 coming up it would be a good time, in addition AHL/LCC are keen to promote aviation tourisim and I know that the themes coming up include both WW1 and and an American trail (they recently gave a talk on American Aviators in Lincolnshire).
Thinking about it, a metal plaque might not be a good idea given the remote location and the predilection of metal theft, but what ever arises would be good

I'm Rob and I'm fortunate enough to live in the New Forest (I actually live right next door to RAF Holmsley South). I stumbled across the site whilst looking for info on Ashley Walk and thought I'd sign up.
I look forward to exploring the site further and maybe posting up some pics of my own in the future

Just thought I would say Hello. I can't believe I haven't found this forum before
