Interesting little film on the One Show last night (shown in two parts). A man and his daughter from the Lake District are restoring a very rare WWII Morris scout car. It was a pile of rusty metal in a Stevenage (?) scrap yard. They have it running and mobile but still working on it.
I presume from the buildings that the scrapyard is on some sort of old military site.

A second series of Scotland From The Sky starts tomorrow 9pm on BBC1. Some interesting snippets in series 1 so let's hope for some more in this new series.

Typically of BBC Scotland, they have scheduled it at the same time as BBC1's new series "Earth from Space" which has been pushed back to after 2300h. So there is one series filmed around Scotland from a single engined light aircraft, using a hand held fairly standard camera that is up against one filmed around the world with people on the ground, in aircraft and specially tasked satellite imagery.

This has long been a problem with BBC Scotland, but if you have satelliete you can watch a BBC England channel.
I saw a wwii film on Talking Pictures TV the other day called "air sea rescue" made in 1944, the person who wrote it also wrote "the sea shall not have them" which was made 10 years later, boy is it similar!!

The "purple plain" was on TPTV yesterday, one of the sim instructors at Wildenrath flew one of the Mossies used in the film.

I watched a documentary yesterday on the Smithsonian channel about the Vietnam war memorial in Washington DC. Would you believe the youngest American soldier killed in Vietnam was 15 years old?
