Some Dambuster items seem to have been sold recently

Saw this episode and the Dambuster piece was right at the end. The whole collection of assorted military memorabilia was valued at £8,000. I thought that was a bit low as the money that changes hands for Dambuster relics is quite large on its own.

At least the expert seemed to be encouraging him to let a museum have the collection. Would have been nice to hear that it is going to a museum. Pity the one that looked at the collection of paintings of cars did not do the same.

Interesting letter. Firstly that we did not share information with our allies, especially the Americans. Secondly that this was followed up to n 1951.

I don't have much knowledge of what was shared with the Americans in 1942 but it would be an interesting subject. Did they spy onus and us on them?

I suppose the trust you have in your allies depends on who is running the country and who is running the agencies you deal with. I wonder what it is like now

I had Chelveston or Thurleigh in my head but not idea why, especially as my head is often wrong.
