A few photos of the Red Arrows performing at Falmouth Week this evening. They thrilled a crowd estimated at 30,000 with every vantage point in Falmouth, Flushing, St Mawes & St Anthony Head taken. I walked for 10 minutes along the coast path to the WW2 LAA site at Carricknath Point and had a terrific vista to myself with live commentary from Red 10 on BBC Radio Cornwall! In port were the RFA Mounts Bay & Argus & a German Cruise Liner. The Red Arrows returned to Exeter after the display where they are overnight before flying to Bournemouth to perform tomorrow for Cowes Week.

Yes Peter, It's the restored Bronco from the Bronco Demo Team based at Kortrijk-Wevelgem in Belgium. Shame it was only in the static park as it's a very impressive performer.
I saw a Bronco displayed in the late 70s at Greenham Common, I think my first IAT. Also saw the A-7 corsair and F-8 Crusader. At the time I was still modelling and most jets I made were related to the, then, recently finished Vietnam War. I was in aircraft heaven that day!
No Amount Of Evidence Will Ever Persuade An Idiot (probably not Mark Twain)
Last weekend saw the 30th International Moth Rally at Woburn Abbey with around 93 various Moth & De Havilland types in attendance. It's an event that even 'out charms' Old Warden & is certainly one of my fave air events of the year with this years great show being no exception -
