Welcome Steviecee, I think forum member RonaldV has a website for the lost airfields of Europe but its quite new so I don't know how far progressed he is with it yet.
Please feel free to post your research up on the forum though, we have sections of European Airfields and it'd be great to see some more info about the Eastern European ones.
A 1/48 scale diorama representing an airfield will be very large and full of detail and I look forward to seeing some images of your progress. It is most thoughtful of you and your fellow modellers to choose to honour the British involvement in the Liberation in such a visual manner.
Does your query relate to active airfields or also disused and what timescale. Current or over a specified period? If you expand your question it may be easier for one of our members to respond.
Paul Francis did a recent full historical survey of all the buildings left at Oakington before they were demolished, it may be of interest to you?
hi ! thanks ! i know this survey ! i its for us the "bible" !
our project is not historically exact, it is an imaginary airfield with planes of 1940 and others of 1944, with bombers and fighters !
There will be also a aeronaval base !
I shall post images !
