Hi PNK

My grandfather was based in the US, most of the training I know of was based around Brunswick, Maine.
He lives in Cumbria near Silloth on the Solway ( AKA Hudson Bay ) there was plenty of FAA practice going on in that area of the Solway but I'm sure you know all about that one.

Cheers

The Solway was mainly RAF ranges, the FAA had a few in the Fleetwood area but may have shared the RAF ones, although this is not recorded anywhere. As I'm still looking for all the FAA ranges it could be that I'm missing some. In some lists the ranges for FAA air stations were named after the air station so impossible to locate without any grid references or lat/long. It's still fun looking though and I am still finding "new" ranges after 4 years of research!

Hi Aitch: Welcome to AiX.

I suppose the first thing you should do is check out our Manby thread here:

/community/showthread.php?7534-Manby

I suggest that you start at Page 32 - the last page - which probably has the necessary info you are seeking on the cattle feed lots.

Next, I suppose that any complaint should be made to the chief Planning Officer at ELDC - they should not have far to travel to view the problem!

Regards

Bill
