Hello Phil,

There is a book by Michael Warth, 'Wings Over Wing' The Story of a World War Two Bomber Training Unit published by The Book Castle. It tells the story of Wing but it has virtually no photos of the airfield or the buildings on it, most of the photos are of the crews who trained there.

HTH Pauline.

You may find my site about Devon Airfields interesting......

Thanks for the link Dave. Looking forward to learning all about the airfields of Devon as well as my passion which is learning about RAF Wing in Bucks.

Best wishes

Phil

I am in the book trade Phil, but I still found it a difficult book to find, my son eventually found a copy on Amazon for me, later on he had a message from them asking how much he would want for it if he should think of selling it again!! Just shows how sought after anything about Wing is I guess. Hope you will be lucky in your search.

Best wishes, Pauline.

Hi Pauline,

Just found two copies on Amazon. One is about £35 the other is £125 and signed by the author...Just plucking up courage to buy the cheaper option.

Look on ABE books as well Phil, might be one there, £35 seems a bit steep to me!!
