Hello-thanks for the prompt reply. I should have referred to the Old Railway Station House at Raydon Wood- there are several photos of it on the forum.

I am trying to work out the significance of a Med Corp from the USA who served in Sudbury Suffolk, WW2, giving 136th Station Hospital as well as C904 (which appears to be a chemical depot in Sudbury) as his personal details. Where was C904 and what was it ? why would a medic be deployed there ?

C904 is probably Chemical Company 904 one of a number trained in aspects of Chemical Warfare such as gas agents delivered by artillery shell, mortar bomb, landmine, aerial spray and aerial bombs. Although personnel within the Company were trained in first aid for chemical contamination members of the medical corps were also assigned.

I have a subscription to Fold3 so, if you can be specific as to your requirements I shall have a search of the US Army Records ETOUSA Chemical histories. There are also extensive personnel records if you can give a name and/or service number.

Hi - I'm trying to find out more about life at Ballykelly for the WAFs in 1944. My step-grandmother, Dorothy Stewart, was stationed there. Can anyone help? Apparently the Canadian Navy was also in the area around that time. Was there a link between the two?
I'm going to Northern Ireland for a few days in early September and wondered if there was anywhere left to visit, any museums etc.
Any information or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Good evening all, thought it was high time to introduce myself. I joined the RAF as a Fireman in 1981 and served till 2004. I love anything to do with the RAF and love researching old airfields as I believe we should keep the history of them all alive. These forums are just fantastic and there are some fantastic info etc..... many thanks for letting me be a part of it all.

Cheers
