Anything millitary is good for me tbh, been to quite a few airfields, an ammo dump and the aces high radar base at stenigot. They are all photogenic.

I am a little concerned about the initiating ceremony :lol:

Nothing to worry about - IIRC it involves you having a well-stuffed wallet, in a pub with your AiX mates (and a few other hangers-on).

Plan A is always more effective when the problem you are working on understands that Plan B will involve the use of dynamite

Hello All,
I am interested in all things military, and have great memories of the Lincolnshire airfields, V bombers and Lightnings and of Norfolk/Suffolk in the late 70s early 80s. Feltwell, Methwold, East Wretham, Watton Etc. Presently live in the west midlands and am looking forward to researching around my local area.

Cheers Alfie

Welcome to the forum Alfie. My favourite period was th 70s as there was still a lot to see. I went to Wattisham a couple of time to watch the Lightnings but never saw any fly! I think they saw me coming.
Watching the Vulcans be towed out to their pans in the ealry morning sunshine at Scampton was pure magic.

Long time ago.
