Hi all. I've recently joined the site and already i've had an answer to a question that has been plagueing me for a few years. This site really is first class. My interests lie in most things aviation (especially USAAF and modern day military and civil), railways and anything relating to World War 1 and 2. I love going round old airfields taking photos of what remains. If anyone is interested in making up numbers on a few trips round these airfields let me know. Rob.
im sure we can sort something out. I want to visit Rivenhall. Used to live near there before i me and the x split and i always wanted to have a wander round and take some pictures. Now i find its probably going to be levelled to make way for an incinerater so i definatley want to go. Also ive heard its haunted so i dont want to go on my own LMFAO!!
Hi - new here but am interested in the above site. Seems it was right where they are now planning on building the Grange Farm wind turbines. Local farmer there told me last year that they only recently pulled down the last remaining building as it was about to fall down ! It started before the RAF was formed and was actually a RFC site and became a decoy site in WW2. Any info please as I live just along the road in Newton village.
