The text of the first book of three is now finished, just proof reading and photos / drawings to be added. The books will be laid out as follows:
Book 1: The Evolution of RAF Aerodromes, Hutting and Technical Buildings.
Book 2: Domestic Buildings and Synthetic Training (I might include MQs if space allows).
Book 3: Hangars and Control Towers.
Make no mistake, these are far more detailed than the original 1996 book and will be up to 200 pages each. They will only examine airfields, so there will not be a chapter on airships and balloon stations. Sales of the first will fund book 2 and so on and I have deliberately left the best till last. Stand by!

Just tying up some loose ends. I need help locating the following buildings on RSPs. if you have RSPs that show any of the list below can you let me know which airfields go with which one. Thanks.

I've had a quick shufti through the RSP's I have for Nottinghamshire and pretty much drawn a blank at: Balderton, Finningley, Gamston, Hucknall, Langar, Winthorpe & Worksop.
The closest I get, is 2 Pndr. AA Amunition Store at Hucknall. But it's a 2895/39, not your seeking 9895/39. Is it a typo maybe?
Also, Winthorpe has an Aviation Fuel Inst Type F, but it's a 15425/40, not your seeking 15423/40.

2 Pounder AA Ammunition Store 9895/39 is at Llandow, Bdlg 102 PB. Described as AA Ammo store. I remember photographing it a hundred years ago (or so it seems).

Note these are 1943 drawings. The overwhelming majority of bomber stations used earlier (1942 etc) installations. Desborough (1944) did also. They were possible found at:
Bentwaters, Blackbushe, Blakehill Farm, Boreham, Brawdy, Debach, Deopham Green, Dounreay, Down Ampney, Eye, Fersfield,
Full Sutton, Little Walden, Mendlesham, Merryfield, North Pickenham, Spanhoe, Sturgate, Sudbury, Swannington, Upottery
if anyone has the plans for these.
Then again Methwold (1939+) and N Killingholme had the later rare 1212/43 200-ton Bomb Store (clearly an upgrade) Nothing is straightforward.

Incendiary Bomb Store 1932/43 WARBOYS
NOTE: IBS Drawings have three types of structure identified by type. Type A is a single store usually a TB orf Nissen. Type B is two stores side-by-side separated with an ET (Earth Traverse) and Type C is a square plan open store, a hollow square with ETs on three sides, access road crossing the fourth open side and a separate ET on the outside of the road protecting the fourth and open side.
AM Drawing 9058/42 (Layout of Bomb Stores) shows IBS Bldg No 7 as a Type C and Bldg No 8 as a Type B. A later AM Drawing 4996/44 RSP shows the original build Type C changed to 4734/42 Type C and each of the Type B stores to Small Bomb Container stores based on 8802/42.

25 yard Range 2009/36 or 2902-4 An RSP for KIDLINGTON shows a 2904/36........
