I started this one late on Tuesday evening, so there's probably no more than 10 hours work so far.
Most of that time was spent staring at the screen thinking out "how would they have fitted that to that?"

Having the new PC with the speed and memory to do SketchUp justice helps no end of course, but more importantly I've finally realised I should be making the components individually and assembling models from them.

The originals are prefabricated structures from a relatively small number of standard parts, so I've started doing the same.

It's only taken three years or so for the penny to drop!

Great seeing you at Twinwood on Thursday too, thanks again for you time to show us all around.

Jealousy!! I reloaded Sketch-Up with the dream of putting in 15 minutes a day on the learning curve but it needs some motivation! Great model Paul.

Desborough - Site 2
Just a quick sketch I've not modelled the Nissens properly, all of which are still standing on site.

Has anyone got a drawing for a handcraft hut as I need to model some for Desborough Site 1?

I've done a fair bit of guesstimation to work these dimensions out, so please treat them as such...

Handcraft Huts are apparently 18' wide, and usually 36' long it would appear.

Using an end-on photo and assuming a 6½' doorway, the length of the five upper roof flats is 5'.
The vertical parts of the roof are then 2½' high, giving a 9½' total height.

I'd better show my workings to illustrate:
