After a brisk walk around the eastern end of Spanhoe to clear the mind, I got stuck in to correcting yesterday's errors...

Hi all, these are really great constructions, congratulations! Exactly the sort of thing I intend to (eventually) create for a Hornchurch circa 1942 project. Although I am a CAD draftsman I have never heard of any of the software mentioned here. Any pointers please?

These where all done using the free Google sketchup, although I've also been using Solidworks.
I'm also a CAD draughtsman.

Guard House is looking good Chris.
Having had my first 'early' finish for over 6 weeks today I hope to play around with Google SketchUp a bit this evening. It looks a very useful programme and pretty straightforward to use but I am still exploring the use and features. Never know I might get round to starting a Hornchurch model some time soon. Anyone know if any Hornchurch buildings have been done yet in SketchUp?

If your used to using CAD use layers and components in Sketch-up it makes things a lot easier, I've made myself a library od standard components I can just drop in.
