Cheers Denis, I didn't know there had been one at either place. Came as a big surprise too me coming around the corner and getting confronted with a Vulcan's nose looking-over the hedge.

I took this photograph sometime between September 1985 and April 1986 with my Boots camera hence the poor quality. The sign above the Spitfire's tail reads, RAF Northolt Passenger Reception. Sadly can't find a photograph of the plaque infront....maybe I didn't take one ?

If you mean the small white van in the second photograph? no that's not mine. It's actually going past along on the A1. Very awkward to not include any vehicles while photographing from that angle [the only one allowed] though the first and third photographs are free of any such traffic. These were taken on our way home from Waddington airshow, my car being parked in the visitors space. :grin:
