Nice shots of classic gate guards, I was wondering the other day if any Phantom SUU-23 gun pods were preserved after service, be interesting to know if the one shown mounted on XT854 is still around?

East Fortune's, apparently from Leuchars. RAF Museum's Phantom has one attached.

2 photos of ex 91 Sqn Spitfire 21, LA226, at Little Rissington; one on the gate and one on an excursion onto the airfield! The airfield photo is a feast of 1960s period detail!!

I'm really new to this site and absolutely enjoyed looking at all these photographs - thankyou to you all.

I do have a black and white photograph of me any old ATC squadron members in front of the Spitfire Gate Guardian at Coltishall. I would love to share it with you. Firstly - am I allowed as it contains people? And secondly - how do I do it?

Worth noting that the above Meteor, F.8 WH364, was the RAF Kemble gate guard for a long time, I have a picture of it there on a pole c.'89, will dig it out sometime.
